Have you ever been put off an author’s books after reading a biography of them? Or the reverse – a biography has made you love an author more?
Simon Thomas as suggested this great question. I’ve never really thought about this very much. I guess it also doesn’t help much that I haven’t read many biographies. I would have to say the answer to both questions would be no. I cannot think of a time when a biography has affected my appreciation for an authors work.
If I take a moment and wonder would something like this affect my appreciation and it would still have to be no. The information in the biography would definitely influence how I think of the person as an individual. Someone can have the gift to write wonderfully but could be a horrible person.
So I guess again to sum it up these things wouldn’t influence my appreciation of an authors work.
Until next time happy reading.
I agree; I care more about the book. Happy Booking Through Thursday!

I echo your thoughts.
Here is my BTT post!
I’m like you, haven’t read any biographies. The story is the important part.
I always enjoy reading the tidbits about the author while reading a book. I can’t say I’ve ever been put from an authors books because of something I read about thiem.
me too…it’s all about the book.
Sounds like we’re all in agreement on this one. I read the bits about the author but it’s have any influence on the book.
